How are weddings celebrated at St. John’s?
Weddings are a joyful part of our ministry. Couples who wish to be married in the Episcopal Church take part in a period of preparation with the priest, which includes conversation about Christian marriage and the promises made in the service. Because the sacrament of Holy Matrimony is a sacred act of worship, it is always conducted according to the rites of the Episcopal Church.
To learn more or begin a conversation about holding your wedding at St. John’s, please contact the church office.
Can funerals or memorial services be held at the church?
Yes. Funerals at St. John’s are services of thanksgiving for the life of the departed and an expression of our faith in the resurrection. The clergy work closely with families to plan the liturgy, music, and readings. We also offer pastoral care and support before and after the service.
For scheduling or pastoral assistance, please contact the church office.

What is required for baptism?
Baptism is the sacrament by which we are made full members of Christ’s Church. At St. John’s, baptisms are usually celebrated during Sunday worship so the entire congregation can welcome the newly baptized into the household of God. Preparation for baptism includes conversation with the priest and, for infants or children, their parents and sponsors.
If you or someone in your family is interested in baptism, please contact the church office to discuss next steps.
